Early Aging Houston

Here at MD Aesthetica by Dr.Lyos, we believe in advanced preventative care before things arise whether it be internally with wellness our on the outside with preventative techniques. Your skin starts to show signs of aging earlier than you might believe. How you age is tied to lifestyle and genetics but you might start to notice unwanted changes as early as your mid-20’s. But there’s no need to panic.

At MD Aesthetica we have curated a range of non-invasive treatments to help combat the earliest signs of aging, no surgery needed. The treatment that works best for you will depend on what your concern is and how far along it is. Here are a few treatment options for some of the more common early signs of aging.

Reduce Dark Spots with IPL

Dark spots or hyperpigmentation can develop on your skin for a number of reasons. Sometimes known as age spots, they are more common as you get older and are often a result of too much sun exposure in your youth. But the sun isn’t the only thing to blame for dark spots. Some women develop what’s known as melasma, due to either birth control pills or pregnancy.

The IPL is the best treatment for fading away excess brown pigment (freckles, sun/age spots, melasma) as well as clearing facial redness associated with Rosacea and sun damage.  The IPL targets the cells that contain the excess pigment and then causes the pigment to rise to the surface of the skin where it sloughs off.  Because excess pigment is deposited at various levels/layers of the skin it takes up to 6 treatments to reach the deeper layers of pigment and to obtain optimal results.  For facial redness the IPL closes down the tiny blood vessels that cause the redness.    The IPL can be used to treat all areas of the body

Fight Some Sagging with Ultherapy or J-Plasma

A loss of collagen in the skin causes it to become loose and saggy. In the past, the only real way to correct sagging skin was with a surgery like the facelift. Now we can use ultrasound or helium plasma to address skin laxity! Nowadays, there is a non-surgical treatment for sagging, which uses ultrasound energy to stimulate the production of collagen and to help tighten the skin. Ultherapy can provide results that are immediately visible and that continue to improve over the course of several months. J-Plasma Skin Rejuvenation uses cold helium plasma combined with RF energy to promote skin tightening and rejuvenation which encourages growth of new, healthy skin cells.

Banish Crow’s Feet with Botox

Years of squinting, whether because of the brightness of the sun or when you’re straining to read text or look at a screen, can leave you with crow’s feet early on. Crow’s feet are the fine lines that form at the corners of your eyes. Created by movements over the course of your lifetime, they are occasionally the first types of wrinkles to appear.

The good news is that the crow’s feet are among the wrinkles that Botox injections can treat. Results from Botox can last for around three months and you can repeat treatments to maintain your results and keep the crow’s feet away. Even better, starting Botox from a younger age, such as in your 20’s or 30’s can keep those crow’s feet from getting worse over time.

Since the injections work by temporarily blocking nerve signals to the muscles responsible for the movements that lead to crow’s feet, the less you make those movements, the less likely the wrinkles are to become etched into your skin.

Brighten & Plump with Micro-Needling

SkinPen’s advanced microchanneling system stimulates the growth of healthy new skin that’s full of fresh collagen. It plumps the skin from below, repairing lines and other skin imperfections. With three SkinPen treatments you can reverse years of sun damage, smooth acne scars and wipe out wrinkles with just a day of social downtime after each one.
